The 3 F's that make Homeschooling work for my family are
1. Freedom: Homeschooling allows my daughter to choose the things she is interested in and wants to learn . There are of course certain things I think that she needs to know and I incorporate those in a very creative manner or at least I think they are creative. I may have to survey her on that. Okay back to the post. I get to use all types of methods for my daughter to learn the information based upon her learning style and how she and I may be feeling that day.
2. Flexibility: In our house flexibility really refers to our schedule. We have certain things that we have scheduled on certain days and some are weekly and monthly. However we attempt to stay in the flow of the day and if for some reason we decide to do an activity and it is not going well or it could be an off day, ( Don't we all have those), we can adjust the time of day and/or change activities and take breaks to get outside for fresh air. We have options and I am grateful for options.
3. Fun: This is a must for each day. I make a conscious effort to laugh and be present for my daughter throughout our day. I like to schedule my business schedule with many and frequent breaks of unadulterated fun with her. That goes from reading, playing a board game, even a video game, or go outside on a walk for exploring, amongst many others activities.
Within the 3 F's of Freedom a, Flexibility, and Fun, we have a structure that works for us and I am grateful to be homeschooling and have homeschooling as a choice. I love to Homeschool!
Let me know the reasons you chose to homeschool if you care to share. Hope to hear from you.

My main reason for homeschooling is the high cost of sending a child to kindergarten. If I only have 1 child, it's not too bad. But more than that, it is sooo financially taxing. Plus, it's difficult to find a kindergarten nowadays that isn't drilling the child in preparation for formal school. Well, that's the case here in Malaysia.
Hi Lian,
Thanks for stopping by. Please come back soon. I love your book store. Talk to you soon.
